Who We Are

The story behind the brands, the values, and the people who bring it all to life.

Our Story

Built on Values,
Powered by People

Our story started when Arthur M. Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot, channeled his values and passion into the Blank Family of Businesses — a diverse group of brands that champion people, their work, and their passion to create a positive impact on communities. Today, that organization includes AMB Sports and Entertainment, PGA TOUR Superstore, AMB West, and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.

What connects every business and every role is a shared set of values that shape how we work, how we lead, and how we show up for each other. We believe the way we achieve success matters as much as the success itself. That belief started with Arthur and lives in everything we do.

Our Core Values

Our six core values aren't aspirational. They guide how we hire, how we make decisions, and how we treat each other every day across every business in the portfolio.

Put People First

People are the center of everything we build. We invest in our associates, listen to their ideas, and create an environment where everyone has what they need to do their best work.

Include Everyone

Our differences make us sharper, more creative, and more competitive. We actively seek out diverse perspectives and make space for every voice.

Lead by Example

We take ownership, speak up, and stand behind our decisions. An entrepreneurial spirit lives at every level of this organization, and we encourage people to use it.

Listen and Respond

We pay attention to what our people and our customers need, and we act on it. Listening isn't passive here. It's how we find our best ideas and build lasting value.

Innovate Continuously

We don't settle for how things have always been done. We push for better, challenge assumptions, and give people the freedom to bring bold ideas to the table.

Give Back to Others

The success of our businesses and the well-being of our communities are inseparable. Giving back isn't a side project. It's woven into who we are and how we operate.

The Founder

About Arthur M. Blank

A native of Queens, New York, and a Babson College graduate, Arthur M. Blank co-founded The Home Depot in 1978 and built it into the world's largest home improvement retailer on a simple belief: good companies produce both profit and purpose. Distinguished by Forbes as one of the World's 100 Greatest Living Business Minds and named Sports Business Journal's Sports Executive of the Year in 2018, Arthur's philosophy of creating value for companies, customers, and communities has guided every business he's built.

After leaving The Home Depot in 2001, he channeled that philosophy into the Blank Family of Businesses, embedding six core values into every organization across the portfolio. An early signer of The Giving Pledge, he has committed the majority of his wealth to helping people and communities thrive, primarily through the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, which has granted more than $1 billion to charitable causes since 1995. A father of six, Arthur's favorite T-shirt reads "There is no finish line," a reflection of the drive that connects everything he does.

There is no finish line.
